2006 SWEETHEART
Mary Dunn
Mary was born in Scotland. She moved to Sough Africa and lived
there 27 years. Mary arrived in America and settled in the Palmdale
area with her son Steve and his family.
Mary got a job in the Torrance area and found she needed to get to know
local folks. She joined several Square Dance classes. Mary
graduated from three clubs and chose to remain with the Honeycombers.
She is an active Square Dancer and an avid Scottish Dancer. Reading
and crocheting are favorite pasttimes for her when her busy schedule
allows.
Mary has held the positions of President and Class Coordinator for the
Honeycombers. She became involved with A Square D as a Club Deputy,
Ambassador for the Jamboree, District Director, Senior Director,
Sweetheart Ball Chairperson, Jamboree Chairperson, Secretary, Vice
President and will now assume the duties of Association President.
Mary has proven to be a dedicated, dependable and conscientious worker and
leader, and well deserving of being the Association's Sweetheart for 2006.
